Cold Fun in the Wintertime

It snowed last weekend. We got eight to ten inches of it in our neighborhood.

It seems that every year, we come a point during late winter when we think, "we're out of the clear." We'll have weather in the 40's or 50's, the snow melts, and the birds - they start a-singin'. Then, inevitably, the snow falls and blankets our hopes of an early spring. It never fails to surprise me. Our weather is pretty volatile.

Here are some pictures we took while I was shoveling. James loves being outside. This much fresh snow was fun for him.

A Few Faces from James at 14 months

So it's come down to this.

I have resorted to posting periodically, most often at the insistence of my family or peers. Don't get me wrong, though. I do enjoy it, even sometimes, I think about it. But the pendulum of my interest has swung away from this venue for time being. I do not worry, it will return.

In the meantime, here are some great pictures my wife took of James today. If you enjoy them one tenth as much as I do, they'll at least give you a nice warm 'aww' feeling deep down.
